Helmy says:

Have you ever thought about teaching a class? Well, you might actually get the chance to, kids... Otherworlde is going to be accepting minor programs into the academy.

By the academy's definition, a Minor Program is a four-course study in a subject. While every student is required to have a Major Degree to graduate from the academy, they can look into a secondary field of study (or many) to increase their skills or supplement what they are already learning in their Major.

So what does this mean for you?

:bulletred: Adjunct Teaching Positions Open :bulletred:

:bulletwhite: Adjunct Teachers are promoted to "Contributor" level members and teach minor degree courses.

:bulletwhite: They can develop a four-course study for the minor they want to teach. These function as 100-level classes that any student can take at their leisure.

:bulletwhite: While major programs are limited to three course selections per term, students may take any minor classes they want - almost like electives.

:bulletwhite: Minor programs are generally nestled into an existing department, and the adjunct professor reports to the department head.

:bulletred: Interested in creating a minor degree program? :bulletred:

:bulletwhite: Design the name of your minor degree program. Note the group with the name of the minor program, a short bio of the teacher, and a rough outline of the four classes for initial approval. When that approval is received, you will start working on the class journal and teacher app.

:bulletwhite: The program will need four classes. All four classes' assignments must be completed to be granted the minor degree, but they do not have to be taken in any specific order, nor do they have a certain deadline.

:bulletwhite: All four classes must have three assignments each. Unlike the major program classes, these are not monthly so they don't have a deadline. They are designed at once and listed in the journal for the minor program like follows:

Class 1
Assignment A
Assignment B
Assignment C

Class 2
Assignment A
Assignment B
Assignment C

Class 3
Assignment A
Assignment B
Assignment C

Class 4
Assignment A
Assignment B
Assignment C

:bulletwhite: Because these are not timed, the student may turn in their assignments (in order for the class) over any period of time they desire. A student could theoretically draw all three assignments and pass the class in a month if they wanted to. When the student turns in all three assignments for a minor program, the teacher will indicate the student passed the minor course on the student's records.

:bulletwhite: Take inspiration from the existing major classes - develop a lesson plan and help those little minds get learning!

:bulletwhite: Please note that an adjunct professor should either be a student who graduated (or has earned a degree) or a new teacher with knowledge of the subject coming in.

So how about it, interested in creating a minor program?

If I've noted the group, will I get a clear yes-or-no on whether or not to start my application for the teacher, as well as the class journal?
