His hair lightens up the same way that Drake's does.

His eye got infected and had to be removed so it's stitched shut now.

Saylem teaches at the school. He teaches the potions department. Helmy tries to bribe him to give him A's without any work and it doesn't work. ;~;

Personal Information
Likes: books and reading, especially the dark and ritual magic that exists in the academy's libraries, creepy stories, gloves, challenging others and establishing himself as an alpha, well-used blankets, swimming.
Dislikes: getting dirty, his skin color, anyone being rough with his hands or arms, shoes and socks, being ordered to do something, doing homework (his classes are, in his opinion, not interesting enough to merit effort...), people nagging him to eat or drink, loud noises, being touched by strangers, rodents, especially white mice
Fears: being stuck in small, enclosed places, especially things like bottles when he's in his smoke form, heights (not that he'd admit it), his alterego, amnesia or losing his memories, blindness
Goals: He pretty much wants to be a jack of all trades for all of the classes in the academy, though he's not really willing to put much effort in it. He's also really interested in sacrificial rituals and wants to learn about them.
Personality: Now that he's older, Helmy is kind of... purposely eerie. He's also managed to get a hang of the gentlemanly lessons that Saylem's been trying to beat into his head since childhood, though he's not perfect at it and often slips into jerkness. He's been interested in dark magic for the last five years and it's warped his personality some. While he hasn't massively changed, he's a lot more devious and a bit more sadistic than he used to be. He's not quite as easy to get angry though he still has those berserk buttons that tick him off. He's become more of a bully than he was before, heavily critical of people who he deems as weak or inferior, and he's still just as willing to be an argumentative jerk with anyone. He's the one who will argue with teachers in the middle of a lesson if he thinks something's wrong. And for someone who doesn't like doing his homework (and would rather not), he's very anal about getting all the credit in his assignments that he deserves, and will dispute anything he thinks is improper.
History: When sixteen-year-old Helmy discovered the existence of the academy and its connection to dark and ritualistic magic, he immediately set forth to gain knowledge and learn more about the concepts that fascinate him so much. In the past five years, he's lost his bad eye and had it stitched shut, as well as his hair has lightened up due to Drake's genetics.

Misc. Information:
His depth perception has improved over the past five years and he's decent enough at catching objects thrown at him, though he still sometimes misses. The faster an object is thrown, the less a chance he can follow it properly.
Being in the Otherworlde Academy and surrounded by dark magic has caused his alterego to be more active and interested in what's around him. Helmintio often fights Helmy for control of their consciousness. It's quite stressful on him.
He still writes his day down in a hidden diary, but his writing has gotten much better. He doesn't need to reference books for words anymore unless they're obscure. his handwriting is kind of messy though.
He can still breathe underwater but it hasn't gotten any more efficient than it was before.
He's gotten better at controlling his ears to make sure they don't tip off people about his emotions. Emotional control is pretty important to him now, as well as being hard to read or predict.
He still requires an obscene amount of rest, something he's rather unhappy about. He's been forcing himself to wake up earlier and it tends to distort his concentration.
He still won't let anyone practice magic on him.
He still has seasonal allergies, and it annoys the hell out of him.
He tends to panic whenever someone touches his waist, as he's really sensitive there and it's kind of an erogenous zone for him. Putting an arm around his waist is almost guaranteed to make him blush.

Helmy- *his gaze follows people moving in and out of the cafe he's currently sitting at -- it's a cafe located on the academy grounds, and he likes the atmosphere more than the dining hall, as it's more sophisticated. There are strange and obscure paintings on the walls, the paint possibly having been blood, and every time he looks at them he feels like they're trying to speak to him. He's here with one of his class books, trying to motivate himself to open it and start re-reading the passages, but it's difficult. These classes are too simple, covering only the basics, and he desires intense and difficult classes.* *his gloved fingers brief over the black leather cover of his OTW 101 book, a tome on incantations. It's interesting, he has to admit that, but it just seems too easy.*
